Agnese Perri (they/she) is an emerging multidisciplinary artist, theatre maker, and producer in their final year of a Bachelor of Fine Arts Theatre at the Victorian College of the Arts. From Italy and Hong Kong, they are currently based in Naarm (Melbourne), with an interest in theatre, performance art, and festival producing.

They work with video, poetry, object theatre, and performance, and are drawn to exploring autobiographical/semi-autobiographical narratives, culture, cross-cultural experiences, isolation, connection, and community. They seek to provide audiences rich sensory experiences, with a specific interest in whimsical childlike atmospheres and language but with adult themes.

Recent projects include My Shell (2022), Always a Stranger in a Foreign Place (2021) [Recipient of Mudfest Best Moving Image Award and Digital Dawdle Audience Favourite in Film], and Hong Kong in Red (2019). Performance credits include work with the Hong Kong Youth Arts Foundation, National Youth Theatre Britain, and the VCA.

With a particular interest in the art festival environment, they recently had their debut producer role as Executive Producer of MUSE. Providing artists the support and space to create, and providing communities a rich moment to experience the fruits of that creation, is something Agnese feels passionately about. Their particular interest lies in programming, cultural facilitation, and producing/administration within performing arts festivals.
